Tyrannt Bestiary

Here are some of the monsters and their stats used inside the game engine. As new monsters are added we will update this list.

Beginner Level Creatures

Giant Rat

Stats
MGT:  2d4-1
END:  3d4-1
SPD:  2d4+2
AGI:  3d4+2
INT:  1d4
PSY:  1d4
CHA:  1d4
Attack Weapon: Teeth
Attack Skill: 45%
Defence Skill: 40%
Description
The Giant Rat is a relative to the common rat. They first seemed to be only found on the small island with the Loomara ruins and were rarely seen on the main part of the island. That is until the mages guild built the magical bridge to enable easy access for them to the Island (Due to a rare reagent found growing on the island). Within a month of this being built, the giant rats had invaded most dark and dank holes on the island. They are not very hard to beat individually but they are usually not alone. In fact in the Loomara Ruins, some people have said to have seen swarms of hundreds of them at a time.

Wolf

Stats

Description

Goblin

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
Goblins, goblins, goblins... The bane of miners everywhere. The dwarfs have a special hatred of globins as they have a tendency to overrun their mines and cause no end of delays in getting the ore to the surface. Goblins are very rarely seen on the surface as they have an aversion to bright lights. (Even moon light can be too much for their eyes). They are not the hardest of creatures to combat (Though their elite cast may give the beginner a bit of a hard time) but make up for this usually in their numbers. They are lazy creatures, hence are always trying to take over the dwarven mines so they do not have to dig their own tunnels.

Large Snake

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
These snakes are found quite a lot in the underground tunnels and caves. They attack by jumping or constricting their foes. They are quite easy to kill but again also are quite often in numbers when they attack.

Giant Spider

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
These creatures often build nests in cold damp underground places. They attack anything that is not a spider, and then sometimes things that do.

Moderate Level Creatures

Spider Rat

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
This creature is an amalgamation of a spider and a giant rat. This is one of the creatures thought to have been invented by the wizard Melkator. This rumour does have some truth in it as they are mainly spotted on and around the Island of Loomara. They don?t tend to mix with their own kind and tend to rule over nests of giant rats. They are not poisonous but they have amazing speed and agility which make them a dangerous foe.

Cyclops

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
The Cyclops?s by their nature are often quite friendly and subdued creatures. They like to keep themselves to themselves. Unfortunately, if a Cyclops becomes corrupted by evil, then they have the tendency to go around on killing sprees. Some people who have researched these creatures have found that the evil taint drives them mad. If you come across and evil Cyclops in battle you had better keep them as far away from you as possible, if they managed to hit you, it will probably be the last thing that happens to you. The good news is they are quite slow, so should be easy to get away from and attack with ranged weapons. Until recently, seeing a Cyclops of any temperament was rare, but the island seems to have been invaded by a band of evil Cyclops?s who have taken over the Kuetar Keep on the north west of Nomandia.

Forest Lord

Medium Level Creatures

Small Dragon

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description

Orcs

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
Orcs are a evil and vile race of magical creatures. Born from the darkest magic these creatures are hatred and violence in the flesh. They are usually loyal to their creator, but have been known to separate themselves from their master and are able to learn. They have a twisted sense of what is considered normal. Some (very few) have been friendly and are able to get along with other races (except dwarves).Orcs live and travel in groups and are rarely caught alone. Unless your a seasoned adventurer these creatures should be avoided at all costs.

Tinker

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
A mixture of science and magic. Tinkers are constructed by "forward thinking" mages. They can serve a number of roles, such as, patrolling and gathering spell components from far away locations. Some smaller villages have commissioned mages to construct tinkers for the villages protection. In these cases tinkers are much larger and outfitted for combat.

Slink

Stats

Description

Werewolf

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
Werewolves are a dangerous breed of animals, they were originally an humanoid race (Elf, dwarf, human etc) that has succumbed to a disease of the blood and have transformed into a wolf like creature, the process takes over 3 months before it is permanent and untreatable. During this period they will keep mutating between their original and wolf like forms. After this period they are permanently the wolf like creature apart from then the moon is full, they have been known to mutate back into their original form without any knowledge of what has happened to them. The priests guild are conducting research in to curing the disease during these periods of reversion, but it seems a long way away, especially as most of these researchers end up ripped to shreds after trying out their "Definitive Cure". The disease originated on the Island of Loomara, and is thought to be the results of another experiment of the wizard Melkator.

Undead

Stats
Description
Reanimation of a corpse is what some wizards do for various reasons. However, wizards tend to die and the undead they have created just wander off aimlessly. It is thought that some of the undead hold a small portion of memory. Some have been known to speak. Most walk BUT they can run as fast as when they were living. Since they are created by wizards, they can be located anywhere.

Minotaurs

High Level Creatures

Lizard Shaman

{Stats to be added later}
Description

Demon

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
These underworld dwellers are capable of entering the physical dimension at will. Contrary to legend, these creatures are powerful and striking in appearance. They are masters of the darkest magic and find pleasure in
the suffering of others.

Drak

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
These Dragon humanoid creatures have a moderate population. They have a strict social structure based on power and are separated into clans. The lower class of Drak have their wings removed at birth and are set in the worker/warrior class. Elite Drak are planners and thinkers. Several sightings of Drak have been reported in various remote areas (it is thought that these are rouge clans that have ventured out for profit). Beware ALL Drak can use magic and have a vast array of weapons. If you are not a Drak you are an enemy, again beware. However, encounters with Drak are rare, just as rare as surviving such an encounter.

Wraith

Stats
{Stats to be added later}
Description
These are extremely dangerous and extremely magical creatures, they cannot be harmed by physical means and they can only be harmed by magic and only certain higher level magic at that, though they cannot inflict physical harm either. No one knows of their origins, it is rumoured that they are the ghostly remains of extremely powerful wizards. The good news is that Wraiths are very rare to appear, and (so far) none have been found on the Island of Nomandia (Well no one has reported finding one!)

Rotting Mage
